My New and Improved Family Tree!

I am so excited that I could POP!  I have been looking for a way to display my family tree that would allow me to see more generations than the traditional sheet found on ancestry websites and in genealogy computer programs.  (OK - if I am being honest, I wanted it to look a lot cuter than those other ones too!)  I wanted to make it easier to see where my holes are and where I need to focus my attention.  I finally found one on Pinterest that I really liked and thought I could recreate. And.....after playing around with it all day, I did it!!!  I made one for each of my parents as well as both of my in-law's families. Here they are: (drum roll, please!)

(Please excuse the quality of the images you see below.   I had to take a screen shot of the .pdf file on my phone because the blog wanted a photo and not a .pdf file. The originals are much easier to read, but you can get the idea.)

There isn't anything else to post today -
I just had to share these because I was so excited to get them finished!!!!

    1. I made a template in Word (I figured more people would be able to use it if it were there instead of in Photoshop (although I still want to go back and do one in a different size in Photoshop). I think the easiest thing to do would be to give you the links to the file in Dropbox and you can download my filled out version and put your names in. The biggest issue will be the fonts. I used Trojan Pro 3, Arial Narrow (I used all caps on this one), Lindsay Calligraphy, and Janda Stylish Script on the big middle name. Also - I had to put the middle name in a text box to get it centered.

Do you still have this template? I tried using the link but it didn't seem to work.

  2. Hi Jenna - These are beautiful! Are you willing to upload the editable template? I downloaded it from dropbox but it's a .pdf file instead of a .docx (even though the name says .docx). Thanks!

    1. Nevermind! When I downloaded it to dropbox, it saved it as a .pdf, but when I downloaded it directly to my computer it saved it as .docx. Thanks again!
